From the very beginning, IRIS-Net was developed as a universal software application in order to network all kinds of audio units, including future units not yet existing. Developed in 2001 and first deployed in 2002, IRIS-Net control software offers complete systems configuration of controls, processing, signal routing, and real time supervision of Electro-Voice's professional "RL" series power amplifiers.

IRIS-Net also allows the development of any application specific custom PC panels in order to satisfy operational requirements from very simple to extremely complex. Finally, and most important, the IRIS-Net system is based on an architecture which is open, flexible, and able to communicate with Telex products and third-party products as well.
